The Culm Valley u3a (CVu3a), in collaboration with the Community Life Hub Group, has once again transformed the waiting areas of the Culm Valley Centre for Integrated Health at College Surgery, Cullompton, into a vibrant display of local creativity. This marks the second time the two groups have partnered to present an art exhibition at the surgery, following enthusiastic feedback from both staff and visitors earlier in 2024.
The exhibition features contributions from several creative groups within CVu3a, showcasing a diverse range of artistic talents. Visitors to the surgery are treated to colourful and inspiring works of art and photography, brightening up their experience while they wait.
Sue Hooper-Lawrie, the Groups Co-ordinator for CVu3a, expressed her excitement about the exhibition, highlighting the variety of creative outlets enjoyed by u3a members. "We have a wonderfully active community that spans across many interest groups," she said. "Whether it’s drawing, photography, history, or even playing the ukulele, our members find so many ways to explore their creativity."
CVu3a offers a broad range of groups for its members, including art, walking, quizzes, genealogy, and even Petanque. The organisation welcomes anyone looking to engage in new hobbies and meet like-minded individuals. The success of these exhibitions showcases not only the talents of its members but also the positive impact such creative endeavours can have on the community.
