The Cullompton community is united in mourning following the announcement of the death of former Councillor Eileen Andrews, a respected and dedicated public servant who passed away last week. Eileen Andrews, who devoted five decades of her life to serving on the Town Council before her retirement last year, left an indelible mark on the town through her unwavering commitment to public service and community welfare.
The family of Eileen Andrews has announced that her funeral will be held on Tuesday, 16 April 2024, at 12 Noon at St Andrew's Church, Cullompton. In a heartfelt request, the family has asked that attendance at the graveside be limited to family members only, ensuring a private moment to say their final farewells.
In lieu of flowers, the Andrews family has expressed a preference for donations to be made in Eileen’s name to two causes close to her heart: Cancer Research and the Devon Air Ambulance Trust. This gesture reflects Eileen's lifelong dedication to supporting community welfare and health initiatives.
The Council, along with the entire community, extends its deepest condolences to Eileen's family during this difficult time. Her legacy as a key figure in Cullompton's development and her contributions to the town's welfare will be remembered and cherished.
