CULLOMPTON, Devon — Community-spirited initiative, the Uffculme Repair Cafe, is set to bring their popular pop-up repair cafe to Cullompton, inviting locals to fix their broken items for free. The event aims to foster a culture of sustainability and skill-sharing within the community.
Scheduled for Saturday, the 6th of April, from 10 am to 12:30 pm, the cafe will pop up at the Cullompton Town Hall. In association with INVOLVE - Volunteer Action in Mid Devon, the cafe encourages residents to "prevent waste and save money" by having their broken items repaired rather than discarded.
The Uffculme Repair Cafe has established a reputation for repairing everyday items, from small appliances to clothing, thereby promoting a throwaway-free community. Residents are encouraged to bring their items and engage with the skills offered by local volunteers.
